What is your estimated cloud optimization potential?
A transparent estimate based on your cloud spend, team effort, and FinOps maturity — not a magic ROI promise.
Your inputs
Total monthly bill across AWS, Azure, GCP and other providers.
Time spent on waste identification, rightsizing reviews, and cloud cost reporting — not general infrastructure work.

Assumptions for this scenario
- Addressable spend (compute/storage): 75% of total bill
- Unused resources: up to 7.5% savings on addressable spend
- Rightsizing: up to 20% savings on addressable spend
- Realization rate (recommendations applied): 65%
- Recoverable FinOps time: 25%
- Maturity adjustment factor: 100%

Indicative estimate based on industry benchmarks and Thalaxo pricing. Actual savings depend on your infrastructure, constraints, and recommendation adoption.
How we calculate this estimate
This estimator models cloud optimization potential using separate levers — not a single percentage applied to your entire bill. Network egress, licensing, and support are typically not addressable by rightsizing or orphan detection.
Rightsizing
Matching instance sizes and database tiers to actual workload demand. Savings apply only to addressable compute and storage spend, adjusted by a realization rate reflecting that not every recommendation can be applied immediately.
Unused resources
Idle VMs, unattached volumes, orphaned snapshots, and unused IP addresses. These are removed sequentially — a deleted resource cannot also be rightsized.
Engineering capacity
Time your team spends on manual cost analysis and reporting that Thalaxo automates. This is presented as recovered capacity, not a payroll reduction.
Three scenarios (Prudent, Probable, High potential) use preset parameter ranges. FinOps maturity reduces the estimate for organizations already running structured optimization programs.
